My wellbeing right now is not at optimal health. I got a cold on vacation so I do not feel well and my head feels foggy, I started a new job yesterday and I have a lot of school work to get done today so I am also a little stressed out. Vacation was wonderful and I came home relaxed and I am not as stressed as I would be if we had not gone on the cruise, so I am thankful for the break.
My physical goal is to get over my cold, my psychological goal is to get over my cold and be able to focus more clearly, because of my cold my head feels like it is in a fog; and my spiritual goal is to get back into my devotions and reconnect with my Bible study group.
Right now I need more rest than activities, the meditation helps because I can relax my body and hopefully move the goop out of my head. I am working on catching up with schoolwork so I can stop stressing about it, and with my new job, my boss is also a friend and I am enjoying being back to work, especially since it is in a CAM area.
This weeks meditation exercise was not as calming as the last one, I felt relaxed because of the music and his voice is very relaxing but the vision of colors did not relax me; but I am very distracted today, I have a cold and don’t feel well, I just got back from vacation with a lot of school work to do and I started a new job this week so I have a lot on my mind and it kept wandering.
Tamara, I am glad to see you made it back from your cruise safely...just very sorry to hear you brought the ick back from it. :o( Having a stuffy head certainly messes with every part of your being...as you said, you feel as if you are in a fog.
ReplyDeleteI agree about the relaxation exercise...however, I did go to sleep right off the bat! I just have a hard time visualizing the colors. The sound of his voice and concentrating on phrases and parts of the body works more for me than the colors.
Please get well soon!
Hi. Tamara; I feel the same too. But I envy you because at least you had some time for vacation. I am sorry you dont feel well yet you have a lot of work to done and a new job. I can imagine your stress levels. The other day I was watching the kids channel on T.V with my three year old son and the 'Nia Hao Kai Lan' show was teaching the kids to calm down. It is funny, but I have just tried to do that a while ago and it has worked. I was gittery, agitated, nervous, and there is just a lot of stuff for me to do by 8 pm tonite. So you might try to do the 'Hula dance'-swaying side to side and take deep breaths in and out, in and out. That might help calm you down.
